There are 27,000 new cases of Parkinson Disease in Florida every year. 900 of these cases are in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Our Vision
To act as the face and voice of the movement disorder community by creating local affiliates in communities everywhere.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of people with Parkinson Disease and their caregivers through service, education and research.
How We Help
Neuro Challenge Foundation helps people with the day-to-day decisions that help them to cope with Parkinson Disease, a chronic and progressively debilitating illness. The work of Neuro Challenge Foundation is accomplished by more than 100 volunteers who donate their time and resources to accomplish this mission. We offer one-on-one advice with skilled professionals, workshops, seminars and the largest and most respected Annual Parkinson Disease Symposium in Florida, co-sponsored by Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Due to the extraordinary community collaborations we nurture, more than 90 percent of all dollars raised support Neuro Challenge Foundation’s programs, which include services to Parkinson’s patients and their caregivers, research, support and public and professional education. We empower people and their families by working to ensure quality care for all, especially in smaller cities and rural areas by developing model clinics and “patient toolkits” that can be implemented nationwide. We fund research into the causes and cures of neurodegnerative illness and into practical applications that will ease suffering from these life challenges. All programs are funded solely from public contributions and corporate and foundation grants.
